USA
This is a very easy game to play, and conveniently
to sum up.
The players each draw 10 random tiles and place them
on their tile holders so that no one else can see what
they have drawn. The tiles all have different states
on them (with a little info about the state), or they
have a mode of transportation (car or plane). Once the
tiles are place in you holder they may not be moved,
only replaced. So players will try to arrange their
tiles so that IF a person were to walk the path from
state to state, they wouldn’t have to skip over
states. The Car tiles allow players to skip a state,
and the Airplane allows players to skip to any state
(that is the same color as the previous tile.
The first player to complete the trip wins.
So… what about the board?
Good question!
The board is a map of the USA. The states on the map
are the same color at they is on the tiles. The only
real use of the board is a reference guide, so players
know what states are where.
Yep… it’s that simple.
So… what does Marc really think?
Ok… there is no real art to the game, and it
is very streamlined. The rules are simple, and the set
up is easy. From opening the box to playing was only
5 mins, and there is no real conflicts in the rules.
This game is proof positive of the old saying…
“don’t judge a book by its cover”.
A few of my play testers after looking at the gamebox
were less than excited about playing it. However, without
exception, they all enjoyed the game.
I also enjoyed it. It is a very
smooth and simple game that is just fun. I strongly
recommend 10 Days in the USA!
Above all I suggest you judge for yourselves. Check
