Richard may have been able to survive on a primitive
island, but can he last through this quick, treacherous
little bidding game? Better yet, can you? Maybe-if
you can obtain sufficient resources such as food, water,
shelter, and friends. You get gemstones to pay for them,
as well as a set of bid cards (one Strike, two Stop,
and three Pass). A resource card is turned face up and
everyone plays a bid card facedown. Anyone who played
a Stop card may stop the bid. If that happens, the bidding
cards from that round are turned face up. A single Strike
wins the bid; otherwise, a single Stop wins. If the
bid continues, there can be up to six bidding rounds,
with the price of the resource card (initially five
gemstones) decreasing by one in each round. Although
some cards provide income, bankruptcy is an ever-present
threat. Rely on your shrewdness and a bid of luck.
