| 1. Strategy and Tactics |
| • |
By occupying as many of the center points
as possible, you gain the most flexibility to rapidly
move your balls into any of the quads. |
| • |
The fastest way to reach the diagonally
opposite pyramid quads are over the diagonal passages
in the center of the board. |
| • |
Try to clear your initial quad as soon as
possible. Then you can form a Quadtria in any of the four
pyramid quads. |
| • |
By occupying two diagonally opposite corners
of any quad, you prevent your opponent from making a Quadtria
in that quad. |
| • |
If your opponent makes forays into new quads,
it's important to bring one or more of your balls near
(or into) that quad in an effort to block. Try to recognize
your opponent's intentions as quickly as possible so that
you can occupy the most strategically important points. |
| • |
Be careful not to move too aggressively
into a new quad if your opponent can block you easily.
You may find yourself overextended and vulnerable in a
different area of the board. |
