The object for both games (MY WORD! and
MY WORD! JUNIOR) is to earn points by quickly finding
words from single and double letter cards being dealt
to the center of the table. The first player to call
out a word using at least three cards wins those cards.
The player with the most points wins the game.
THE PLAY
Write the players' names on a sheet of paper for score
keeping. One player is chosen as the first dealer. After
shuffling, the dealer places letter cars, face up, one
at a time, in the center of the table. As the dealer
is placing card, all of the players search for words
among the letter cards on the table. When a player finds
a word using at least three cards, she calls out the
word. If the word is allowed, she keeps those cards;
if not, she doesn't win any cards and each of the other
players take a free card from the table or the undealt
deck.
Play continues until no more words can
be formed from the remaining cards. Players receive
one point for each card they have won. The game continues
until each player has dealt a round. The player with
the most points by the end of the last round wins the
game.
My WORD! has many two-letter card combinations,
and single and double-letter wild cards. MY WORD! JUNIOR
has one double letter card - "QU"- and no wild cards.
Variations for my MY WORD! JUNIOR would be to allow
younger players to use two-letter words or make adults
form more than three-letter words.
PROS
Finding hidden words combines spelling and word puzzle
skills. Great for all ages. The price is right.
CONS
It's hard to play and deal too. A designated dealer
is preferable.
Comments (Verbatim):

MY WORD! to the point that no one else got to play it!
