It's as easy as comparing "apples to apples" ... just open the box, deal the cards, and you're ready to play! Select the card from your hand that you think is best described by a card played by the judge. If the judge picks your card, you win that round. And everyone gets a chance to be the judge!

Each round is filled with surprising and outrageous comparisons from a wide range of people, places, things and events. Fast moving and refreshing, Apples to ApplesŪ is perfect for any get-together with family and friends!

Each player takes a turn at being a judge. As judge you get a green card (above) that describe a characteristic of a person, place, thing, or event.

The rest of the players are dealt seven red cards (featuring the name of a person, place, thing, or event) face down. The judge reads the green card while the rest of the players decide what card or cards they hold best matches the green card. Sometimes its a clear match, other times it can be a funny comparison. Once players have turned in their cards to the judge, they are mixed up and the judge reads the responses turned in. Then by whatever method the judge chooses (alphabet, number, funniest, most logical, etc.) a winner is chosen. First person with the most green apples awarded wins!

Our group played this game while on vacation. It was great that no actual game board is needed and can be easily be played at the end of the day after dinner when people are tired but want to do something other than watch TV. There are also three other variations- apple turnovers, baked apples, and crab apples to keep the game fresh.
