FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is Apples to Apples available in Spanish or French?
Apples to Apples will be available in both Spanish and French. The Spanish Kids game will be the first one out and should be available spring of 2007. Other Spanish sets will be done later in 2007. The French Kids game will be available by the end of the 2007 with the others to follow.

I see that you’ve changed your packaging, how do I know which cards are in the new sets?
Originally there was a Basic Apples to Apples Set and four Expansion Sets. That packaging was discontinued and the sets were combined in order to provide a better game.

The current Apples to Apples Party Box contains all the cards that were in the original Basic Set and the original Expansion Set One and Expansion Set Two.
The current Apples to Apples Party Box Expansion One contains all the cards that were in the original Expansion Set Three and Expansion Set Four.
The new Apples to Apples Party Box Expansion Two contains all new cards. These cards were never available in any other package.

Can I get a list of the cards included the various Apples to Apples sets?
Yes, the easiest way to find out what cards are in any of the sets is to go to the Apples Fan Page www.com-www.com/applestoapples. Not only will you be able to get a listing of the card titles, the synonyms on the Green Apple cards, and the Flavor Text on the Red Apple cards, but you will be able to learn which cards have been modified or discontinued. A special thanks to Russell W. for developing and maintaining the fan page list.

Can players try to convince the judge to pick a particular Red Apple card?
Yes, in fact table talk is encouraged. Players can lobby the judge for their own card, or for another card that they like better. In any event, the judges decision is always final.

Does the judge always have to deal out Red Apple cards at the beginning of their turn?
No. Sometimes players will simply place stacks of Red Apple cards at convenient locations around the table where players can replenish their hands on their own. This is especially useful when playing on a large table.

If I don't know a person, place, thing or event on a Red Apple card, can I look it up?
Not really, because there is usually not enough time for that. The flavor text on the card should give you a pretty good idea. If not, just play the Red Apple card at a time when you don't have a better response to a Green Apple card.

What if the judge picks a card that I really don't think should win?
Sorry, the judges decision is always final. However, everyone gets a chance to be the judge!

In a recent game, one of the players found a card that they felt was objectionable. What should we do?
Out of the Box Publishing takes great efforts to produce Apples to Apples cards that are acceptable for a wide range of players. Nevertheless, some cards may be objectionable to certain individuals. In that case, simply remove the objectionable card(s) from the set for that game.

When children under 12 are involved, you may want to consider the Junior Edition, which is designed for ages 7 and up. Blank Cards can also be purchased to fine tune your set to meet the tastes of your family and friends.

What am I supposed to do with the blank cards we received in our original game?
The blank cards are a way for you to customize your game. You do this by writing the name of a person, place, thing or event on the blank Red Apple cards with a permanent marker. You may write any adjective or adverb on the blank Green Apple cards. For fun, players will often add family members, friends, sports teams, politicians, local attractions etc to the game. Additional Blank Cards are available for purchase.

Do you ever discard all of the Red Apple Cards from your hand?
No, you simply replenish your hand back up to seven cards at the beginning of each round or game by drawing a card from the Red Apple card stack.

Can we get more cards for our Apples to Apples game?
Yes, Expansion Sets are already available, with more being released on a regular basis. There are also Blank Cards that you can customize and add to your set.

I have some good ideas for Apple Cards – can I send them to Out of the Box Publishing for consideration?
Yes, please email your suggestions to our Product Development team via the OTB Your Turn submission form.
