Play 10 Days in Africa, or the USA, without
using the map game board. Follow all the rules for the
standard game but rely on your geographic knowledge to
determine how the counties, or states, should be placed
to form a complete 10 day journey. When a player claims
to have a complete journey, pull out the map to verify
that the countries, or states, are actually connected
within the rules for games. |

| 10 Days Around the World |

Use both games, 10 Days in Africa and
10 Days in the USA, to create one trip crossing both
continents. Place the two maps next to each other. Place
the draw pile for the Africa game by the Africa map and
the draw pile for the USA game by the USA map. The top
two tiles from each draw pile are turned face up to form
four discard piles. To begin the game, player draws five
tiles from each of the two draw piles. During the game
players may draw tiles from either draw pile, or any
one of the four discard piles, and discard to any of
the four discard piles. All rules for connecting by foot,
automobile and airplane apply. Any airplane may be used
to travel between continents as long as the country and
state tiles are both the same color as the airplane.
The first player to form a ten day journey including
both African countries and states from the USA wins
10 Days Around the World!
For a shorter game, form more discard piles.

| 10 Days Starter Games |
| |
These are four ways to modify the rules
while developing skills at playing the 10 Days games: |
| |
| 1) |
Allow players to pick their ten tiles before
placing any of them, look at the tiles, and then
arrange on the tile holders. |
| 2) |
Allow players to move tiles on their tile holders
at any time. |
| 3) |
Set the goal at fewer days. For example: five
days – Still using ten tiles, the first player
to create a five day trip within the ten tiles
wins the game. |
| 4) |
Play using only one holder and five tiles per
player. |
